A special CBI court today framed charges against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler and arms dealer Abhisekh Verma in an alleged cheating case.

The framing of charges comes in the case in which CBI had named Congress leader Jagdish Tytler and businessman Abhishek Verma in a chargesheet for allegedly sending a forged letter to the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2009.

The chargesheet was filed by CBI based on a complaint by then Minister of State for Home Ajay Maken alleging that a forged letter on his letterhead was written to Singh by Verma seeking easing of business visa norms in 2009.
