Two arrested for raping BPO employee in Bengaluru

Bengaluru Police sources revealed that the BPO employee was waiting at a Madiwala bus stand, looking for a ride back to her PG accommodation from her workplace, when two men in a tempo traveller offered her a ride.

A STICKER on the back of the mini bus that she was raped in and three digits of the vehicle’s registration number that she remembered helped the Bengaluru police arrest the two men who allegedly sexually assaulted a BPO employee in the city.

According to the police, the victim, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was waiting for an autorickshaw near her workplace in Bommanahalli around 9.30pm on Saturday, when the mini bus offered her a ride.

After she boarded the vehicle, its two occupants, who were reportedly in an inebriated state, held her at knifepoint and allegedly raped her at an isolated spot off the Old Airport Road.
