On Monday, a forensic team visited AMU and collected samples from the Proctor’s office and other places that were vandalised by the mob.
The police have registered four separate cases in connection with the violence. Sources said both the probe teams were working overtime to track down the culprits involved in the clash.
The police have also requested the AMU administration to provide the CCTV footage from the cameras installed near the incident sites.
Sources revealed that the university administration had identified six students involved in the violence, and their names would be submitted to the police soon.
