The decision was taken at an emergency special meeting of the executive council.
AMU authorities had Wednesday put off the elections, earlier scheduled for September 26, citing “disturbing situation”. The election process will begin on September 27 and nominations filed on September 29. Voting will be held on October 8 followed by counting the same day, an AMU spokesperson said.
