Aam Admi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will speak at a function in Jalandhar to mark Agrasen Jayanti on Sunday.  Members of the Aggarwal community will form the bulk of the gathering.

Interestingly, the community, which used to invite leaders from the ruling SAD and BJP to speak at such events, has invited Kejriwal this time. Earlier this year, Kejriwal had addressed a gathering of the community in Jalandhar. The community leaders alleged that the present government had not paid any heed towards the issues raised by them three years ago during the same function in which minister Madan Mohan Mittal was one of the key invitees.

“Our situation has deteriorated during this government… Our businesses have been badly hit,” said a prominent industrialist. This government has hardly did anything for us to protect our businesses and  now we see a new hope in Kejriwal.”
