Punjab Police had specific information in the last week of December that 15 terrorists had entered Punjab from Pakistan and asked all districts to be vigilant while warning of a New Year’s eve attack.
Punjab’s DGP, Intelligence, Anil Kumar had alerted the police force in all districts on December 26 that 15 terrorists owing allegiance to Pakistani terrorist outfits had entered India. Kumar had warned the police force about a possible terror attack on December 31. After the intelligence alert, the state sent an alert to BSF officials also.
