Fifteen judicial officers — 13 additional district judges and two additional chief judicial magistrates — posted in different district courts in Uttar Pradesh have been given compulsory retirement on charges of “lack of integrity”, “misconduct”, “negligence”, “carelessness” and “not performing the work according to prescribed standard”.

The decision was taken by a full court meeting prescribed by Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court D Y Chandrachud held in Lucknow on April 14, confirmed S K Singh, registrar general of the high court. “All judiciary and administrative work from their court and office have been withdrawn,” said Singh.

The full court also ordered 10 per cent curtailment in the pension of retired judicial officer Ashok Kumar Saxena, against whom a departmental inquiry was conducted.
