THREE ACCUSED in the 13/7 Mumbai triple blasts have approached the special MCOCA court seeking separation of their trial from the other four accused, including key Indian Mujahideen operative Yasin Bhatkal.

Their plea stated that the trial has been delayed with charges yet to be framed against them.

“Since the four accused are lodged in Hyderabad and not produced before the trial court in Mumbai, the other accused have sought for their trial to be separated,” said advocate Sharif Shaikh, representing the three accused who have made the plea.

The special MCOCA court will hear arguments on the plea on August 25.

Three bomb blasts had taken place at Opera House, Zaveri Bazaar and Dadar on July 13, 2011 killing 27 and injuring 127.
