In Goa, Savarkar grandson calls for trade boycott of Muslims
Stating that policies of “economic warfare” had assumed importance today, Ranjit asked Hindu seers to tell their followers to eat only ‘jhatka’ meat so that “our money” does not go to Muslim butchers.
“The campaign should be that we will not trade with Islam. Trade will be between Hindus...,” he added. Urging people to vote for parties that “promote interests of Hindus”, V D Savarkar’s grandson on Friday called for an economic boycott of the Muslim community and exhorted Hindus to carry out “only Hindu-to-Hindu” trade.
Ranjit Savarkar was speaking at the inauguration of a six-day ‘Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav’ being held in Ponda, Goa. The event has been organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, which is allied to Sanatan Sanstha, a radical group whose members were accused in the murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar in Pune in 2013.
