Heavy rainfall to lash parts of Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand over the next 7 days

Heavy rain is expected to hit many parts of India over the next seven days, including Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

A low-pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal and the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha region, which is expected to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall to isolated locations in north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on Thursday.

Parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh are also anticipated to experience heavy rain. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, with wind speeds reaching up to 40 km/h, are expected in north and south coastal Andhra, Yanam, and Rayalaseema.
