Haryana: Four of family found murdered at their residence in Panchkula

The gruesome murder has shocked the entire village. The bodies were spotted by Raj Kumar, a neighbour, who went to the house after observing no movement.

Four members of a family were found murdered at their residence in Khatoli village of Haryana’s Panchkula district Friday. They are believed to have been shot at from a close range last night as bullet injuries were visible in their bodies. The deceased have been identified as Raj Bala, her granddaughter, Aishvarya, 18 and grandsons, Divanshu, 16, and Vansh, 12. A pet dog of the family was also found unconscious Saturday morning.

Raj Bala, a widow, lived with her grandchildren. Her only son Ominder Rana committed suicide eight years ago. His wife, Sudha, disappeared four years ago. Raj Bala last granddaughter, Shally, 13, was not present in the house at the time of the incident. She was at the house of her aunt in Baltana, Zirakpur.

Raj Bala reportedly owned around 50 acres of land.

The house of the deceased is situated in the middle of the village. Senior police officers, including Police Commissioner Charu Bali and DCP Abhishek Jorwal, visited the spot. A case was registered at Chandimandir police station.
