Bank Holiday Today 2025: Public and private banks in several Indian cities will observe a closure today, Wednesday, November 5, on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima, as mentioned in the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 2025 holiday calendar.
Bank branches across Indian cities may close on these holidays, disrupting customer transactions and services. Customers should check the holiday calendar and plan their visits accordingly.
There are a total of 11 official bank holidays, designated for November 2025, which have been allotted by the RBI under its Negotiable Instruments Act, which includes RTGS holidays and other regional and national holidays, in addition to the mandatory weekly days off on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.
