Senior leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Pravin Togadia on Sunday praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that under Modi’s leadership not only unemployed youths will be getting jobs but also the currency market (forex) will become stronger, resulting into raising of funds for buying cruise missiles.

He also said that security of Hindus is more important than the development.
Togadia’s speech left the VHP officials surprised who later said that it was perhaps the first time in the last decade that he mentioned Prime Minister’s name in his public speech.

They said that since 2004 Togadia and Modi, who was the chief minister, developed a fractious relationship.

Togadia in his speech drew parallels with the three-day Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit which was kicked off in Gandhinagar early Sunday morning.
He was addressing the “Hindu Sammelan” in communally sensitive Shahpur locality in old Ahmedabad. The gathering is a part of series of such “sammelans” that VHP is organising across the state to mark 50 years of its existence.

“In this country development is being talked about. A parallel preparation is going on in Gandhinagar. VHP supports the Bhartiya Janata Party and I wish Anandiben (Patel) for this work. There is a change in the regime after a long time. I believe that under the leadership of Narendrabhai (Modi) five crore unemployed youth of Bharat will not be jobless,” Togadia said.

He added, “I believe that under the leadership of Modi the rupee value would become stronger, forex will increase so much that funds would be raised to purchase cruise missile. The production in the country has come to zero level. If there is no production there will not be job opportunity.”

Togadia said that Hindus of India were prosperous but the Mughals and Britishers robbed their properties since they couldn’t secure themselves.
“Vikas na mahatva che pan suraksha na mahatva vikas thi moti che (Development is important, but safety is more important than development).”

The Hindu outfit leader also elaborated that his “business plans” before a gathering of around 2,000 people who had come from the city and rural areas of Ahmedabad district. Togadia propagated his cosmetic products made of Gau Mutra (cow urine), a medical help line for Hindus among others such schemes. He also said that “the golden age of Hindus” is set be back.

Along with Togadia several VHP leaders and religious leaders from different Hindu sects also said  “best time for Hindus have arrived and construction of Ram Mandir should be completed now.

” Many speakers in their provocative remarks said that only Hindus in the whole word are “victim” of conversion. The speakers also claimed that in coming days efforts should be made to change the name of Ahmedabad as “Karnavati.” While one of the speakers said along with reconversion those who reconvert girls into Hinduism should be rewarded by “temples and priests.”

On the occasion former chairperson of National Commission for Women and advocate Poornima Advani while invoking Ramayana and Gita said that unless the mothers don’t teach their kids about Indian values and tradition the issues such as rape among other crimes will not be curbed.
