Govt notifies appointment of 2 Delhi High Court judges
While a Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the elevation of Digpaul, Shankar and Shwetasree Majumder — as Delhi HC judges, Majumder’s recommendation has not been notified by the Centre.
Delhi High Court (Express Archive/Vishal Srivastav) The Centre on Monday notified the appointment of two advocates as judges of the Delhi High Court (HC).
A Supreme Court Collegium, headed by former CJI D Y Chandrachud, had recommended the elevation of three advocates — Digpaul, Shankar and Shwetasree Majumder — as Delhi HC judges on August 21, last year. Majumder’s recommendation has not been notified by the Centre.
