Gold Rate Today: Gold prices in India are maintaining an upward trend, having experienced a rally for the past four days, reinforcing the metal’s status as a preferred safe-haven asset amid ongoing market uncertainties.

As of today, on Friday, December 26, gold rates in India saw a more significant rise, continuing with the upward trend across all purity levels.

The 24-carat gold is the most expensive form of gold and is commonly used for investment purposes. In contrast, 22-carat gold and 18-carat gold are primarily utilised for jewellery.

The yellow metal is considered an ideal inflation hedge. According to a Goldman Sachs report, 70 per cent of global institutional investors expect gold prices to rise further next year.

Gold rate in India today, on December 26 (INR):

The price of 24 karat gold stood at ₹14,002 per gram, up by ₹77 from the previous session. Meanwhile, 22 karat gold, which is widely used for jewellery making, was priced at ₹12,835 per gram, registering a rise of ₹70. Prices of 18 karat gold also moved higher, gaining ₹58 to trade at ₹10,502 per gram.
