Today's 18, 22 and 24 Carat Gold Prices in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi: As of Tuesday, December 2, the price of gold in India today is ₹13,020 per gram for 24 karat gold, ₹11,935 per gram for 22 karat gold and ₹9,765 per gram for 18 karat gold.

Gold Rate Today: According to Goldman Sachs’ study of more than 900 clients, approximately 70% of global institutional investors expect gold prices to rise further next year. In India, the prices of gold have seen significant volatility, as after surging to an all-time high, it witnessed a decline last month.

Considered an ideal inflation hedge, 24-carat gold is the most expensive form of gold and is commonly used for investment purposes. In contrast, 22-carat gold and 18-carat gold are primarily utilised for jewellery.

Gold rate in India today, on December 2 (INR):

After witnessing an upward trend yesterday, the prices of the yellow metal witnessed a slight decline today across all purity categories.

The rate of 24K gold fell to ₹13,020 per gram, registering a drop of ₹28, while 22K gold slipped to ₹11,935 per gram, down by ₹25.

Meanwhile, 18K gold also saw a reduction, now priced at ₹9,765 per gram after a ₹21 decrease.
