Former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah hospitalised in Srinagar

National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah was admitted to a private hospital on Saturday after developing an abdominal infection earlier this week, party leaders said.

The 87-year-old former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir had reportedly been unwell for the past few days before being taken to the hospital for medical care.

“He (Abdullah) was not keeping well for the past few days but his condition is getting better now. He is likely to be discharged later today or tomorrow,” a senior NC leader was quoted by PTI as saying.
