The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to the Centre, Haryana government, CBSE and Medical Council of India on a bunch of petitions demanding cancellation of the 2015-16 All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) examination on grounds of largescale irregularities.

A bench of Justices A K Sikri and U U Lalit sought responses by May 21 when the case would be taken up for further hearing. Senior advocates Gopal Jain and Prashant Bhushan appeared for the petitioners, who sought a directive that exam be conducted afresh in view of paper leak, mass copying and several such instances of irregularities in holding the exam, especially in Haryana.
