The final merit list for admissions to bifocal courses for class XI will be announced by Centralised Admission Process (CAP) committee on Tuesday. There are as many as 5,525 seats for the courses in city colleges,of which 4,647 seats are available for table admission.
CAP officials have received 5,640 applications for the bifocal admissions so far. The admission process will be held at Fergusson College on Friday.
The admission process will be held in two sessions. The first session between 9 am and 1 pm will be reserved for pre-vocational technical courses (for which 40% seats have been reserved),seats reserved for physically-challenged students and seats reserved under the ex-servicemen quota. The second session for students in merit list will begin at 1 pm.
As many as 150 students registered their grievances by Monday evening,the last day for registering objections against the first merit list.
Most of these are from students who had not attached thier NCC,Scout/Guide or Intermidiate Art Exam certificates. They have now provided these documents, said an official.
The officials have advised students seeking admission under the reserved quota to ensure their presence during the stipulated time along with the required documents.
