The influence of Western lifestyles has, indeed, made children run away from their own roots. Moral values, dignity of labour are no longer a part of their lives.

So to bring them back to their roots,BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School made an effort to organise a week-long Vedic Karmayoga camp for students of classes VI to VIII. A total of 115 boys and girls were part of this camp sponsored by the school and the campers stayed in school even at night hours.

Speaking about their experience, the students said that they had heard about the pathshalas of ancient India and they had a practical experience of a part of those classes.

The students used to perform hawan in the morning, followed by yoga, meditation class.

The students remained away from their busy schedules and humdrum of life and, most important, they stayed away from television.

A skit ‘Journey of Soul’ was the main attraction. The camp ended with the recital of shanti path.
