For admission to Post Graduate Government College for Girls,Sector 42,the prospectus-cum-admission forms will be available from June 18.

For admission to Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG),Sector 42,the prospectus-cum-admission forms will be available from June 18. The prospectus will cost Rs 80 and each prospectus will carry two forms,allowing students to apply in any of the other three government colleges,simultaneously.

The college offers a number of undergraduate and post graduate courses. In the science stream,courses pertaining to biotechnology,microbiology and computer applications,and functional English in arts stream are the most popular courses at the college.

In BA,the college offers functional English,elective English,functional Hindi and elective Hindi. In BSc,biotechnology,bioinformatics,microbiology,computer science and IT are the main subjects on offer. In MA,English,public administration,political science and sociology are the main subjects offered by the college,while in MSc,zoology and botany are key subjects offered.

BCom is another sort after course at the college. The forms for this course will be available online from June 14.

In addition to general degree courses,the college also offers post-graduation diploma courses in translation,mass communication,guidance and counselling and computer application with 30 seats in each course.

The add-on courses available at the college include bioinformatics,environmental auditing,tourism and travel and event management with 40 seats each.

The college has also introduced animation and graphics,web designing and multimedia,mass communication and video production,and disaster management and entrepreneurship from the new academic session.

The last date for submission of forms is June 30. Admission for all courses,except BA,will be conducted from July 9. Late admissions with Rs 500 as late admission fee will take place between July 27 and August 8.
