Education Dept sets up test papers verification centre

In a significant development in the infamous UT teachers’ recruitment scam case,the Chandigarh Education Department has set up a centre at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 21 for verification of test papers of all the 536 teachers whose recruitment is under scanner following the scam.

In a significant development in the infamous UT teachers’ recruitment scam case,the Chandigarh Education Department has set up a centre at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 21 ((GMSSS-21) for verification of test papers of all the 536 teachers whose recruitment is under scanner following the scam. The Department will begin the verification process on Friday. It has roped in local agency Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) for the purpose of verification of papers.

When contacted,UT Education Secretary V K Singh said,“We had approached CDAC about six months ago for verification of the papers. This is a part of the investigation procedure initiated in 2009. The Administration had been directed to get the papers verified from two different agencies. While one agency has completed the verification,this is the second round of verification.”
