On the second anniversary of demonetisation, the BJP on Friday put up ten questions to Congress and slammed the party for its ‘anti-development mindset’, while defending its own policies against corruption and black money. In a series of tweets, the saffron party asked questions on a number of issues and accused the Congress of living in a state of denial.

In a move to ‘check black money’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on November 8, 2016, demonetised the bank notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500. The move was highly criticised by the Congress and opposition parties, with the former prime minister Manmohan Singh also condemning the decision of note ban.

On the second anniversary of note ban, Singh on Thursday said the scars and wounds from 2016 are only getting more visible with time, adding that the consequences of the note ban are still unravelling.
