Cops gang-rape minor girl in police station in Badaun, Akhilesh assures stern action

The girl was allegedly abducted from her house on December 31 by the constables, police said.

A 14-year-old girl has been allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by two constables on premises of Musajhag Police Station in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh. The accused, who are absconding since the incident on Wednesday night came to light, have been dismissed and booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Musajhag SHO Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav has also been suspended in the wake of the incident. According to a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, two drunk constables — Avnish Yadav and Veerpal Yadav — abducted the girl when she was going to a nearby field to relieve herself and dragged her into a car. They then took her inside a room in the police station and repeatedly raped her, the complainant said, adding, the two then left the minor, who was bleeding profusely, outside her house in the village.
