Haridwar teen death: CBI files rape, murder case

The 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered by unidentified persons.

The CBI has registered a case of rape and murder of a minor girl in Hardwar after the Uttarakhand government wrote to the Centre seeking a probe by the agency in the case. The case has been  registered under various IPC sections and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act against unknown persons. According to the FIR, the 13-year-old girl, a student of class VI at Roshnabad in Hardwar, was allegedly raped and murdered by unidentified persons. The girl was visiting her parents in Pherupur from where she went missing on January 7 last year.    ENS
