An 18-year-old youth inspired by Bollywood and the aspiration to get rich quickly threatened a local industrialist to pay up Rs 50 lakh “or lose your son”. This is not all. The youth who has cleared his class XII exams in the non-medical stream used the name of a well-known Mumbai-based gangster and sent the local police in a tizzy.

Inquiry Officer Devinder Singh informed,“industrialist Raghuvanch Mani Sharma received a call a few days back where the caller identified himself as a member of the Mukesh Laxurywala gang. Sharma owns a nickel and a cycle parts manufacturing unit. When he received the call,he approached us and we began investigations. During one such call, the voice of the caller was identified by the family as that of Rahul Mishra, son of Radhay Sham.”

Radhay Shyam is known to Sharma and Rahul knew that Sharma was a successful industrialist. He knew that Sharma could pay Rs 50 lakh while the financial condition of Radhay Shyam was not all that good. In a bid to improve the financial status of his family,Rahul chose this method to make some quick bucks.
