BJP national president Amit Shah will reach Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday to address a party agitation and meet Sangh Parivar leaders against the backdrop of elections to local bodies.

Shah would address the party workers, who have laid a siege to the state secretariat since Monday evening in protest against the corruption in Congress-led government and to expose the failure of the CPI (M) to take on the corrupt government.

BJP sources said after the address, Shah would meet leaders of BJP, RSS, VHP and BMS to give a message for better co-ordination between Sangh Parivar outfits. RSS has not been forthcoming towards BJP state president V Muraleedharan.

Sources said the election to the local bodies is on the top of the agenda of the meeting. Party would give special attention to the election to the Thiruvananthapuram municipal corporation, where the BJP has considerable sway.
