The BJP on Wednesday demanded action against Bihar’s ruling JD(U) lawmaker Dadan Yadav days after a Punjab court declared his wife a proclaimed offender in a loan defalcation case. Yadav had said that she had taken the loan for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls which he contested unsuccessfully.
“Chief Minister Nitish Kumar often talks of probity in public life and tries to take high moral ground on adherence to rule of law. Nitish has not so far taken any action against Dadan Yadav,’’ said BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi.
Yadav’s wife, Usha Devi, had loaned Rs 31.5 lakh from a non-banking financial corporation. She was supposed to repay the loan by August 2014 but failed.
