Bihar: Former RJD MP Shahabuddin’s nephew shot dead in Siwan

Mohammed Yusuf, a resident of  Pratappur village was shot from close range and had been lying on the roadside for close to an hour, said the Police.

Former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin’s nephew Yusuf was shot dead in Siwan Friday night. Mohammed Yusuf, a resident of  Pratappur village was shot from close range and had been lying on the roadside for close to an hour, said the Police.

When he was taken to Sadar hospital, he was declared brought dead. Yusuf, who ran a cafe at Siwan, is said to be very close to convicted and jailed MP’s son Osama. Yusuf was also involved in property business.

“The first priority of the police was to maintain law and order. There had been immediate protests after Yusuf’s killing. Extra police forces have been deployed at Siwan town, ” Siwan SP Navin Chandra Jha said.

The police are yet to ascertain the motive.
