Madhya Pradesh: 3 boys assaulted, made to chant religious slogans; 2 booked after video surfaces

A video purportedly showing three children being beaten went viral on Thursday night, prompting members of the Muslim community to stage a protest outside the local police station in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam district, demanding strict action against those responsible.

According to police in the district, the video, which surfaced online, purportedly shows a man hitting the children aged 6, 9, and 11 with a slipper while another person records the incident.

The man is heard using abusive language and coercing them to chant religious slogans while hitting them relentlessly for at least a minute and a half.

As tensions escalated, a crowd gathered at the local police station and demanded action against the accused. Senior police officers, including Assistant Superintendent of Police Rakesh Khakha, were deployed to control the situation.
