Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated his resolve towards service by naming the new Prime Minister’s Office ‘Seva Teerth’, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday.

The new PMO, constructed as a part of the government’s Central Vista redevelopment project, is nearing completion and the PMO is likely to shift from South Block to the new complex soon, it is learnt.

The complex, named ‘Seva Teerth’, comprises three buildings for the PMO, the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council Secretariat. The Cabinet Secretariat had shifted into Seva Teerth-2 in September.

In a post on X on Tuesday, Shah wrote: “For the past 11 years, the Modi government has been synonymous not with power, but with service, in which the supreme leader of the government considers himself a chief servant and works for the people seven days a week, 24 hours a day. In this direction, Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji has reiterated the resolve for service and named the Prime Minister’s Office ‘Seva Teerth’… This is an important milestone in the golden journey of building a developed and excellent India in every field by placing service and good governance above all.”
