‘St Mary changed my disdain for BJP’: A K Antony’s wife thanks divine intervention for son Anil’s rise in BJP

“St Mary changed my disdain and repulsiveness towards BJP,” she said.

The retreat centre is known among Christians as a centre for making prayer submissions, which is known as Mariyan covenant prayer, to get their intentions achieved through prayer.

She said she made the prayer submission for the recovery of Antony from various ailments and rise of their son Anil in politics. Elizabath said her son had cherished dream to enter politics.

“It was when I prayed for the entry of my son into politics, that the Congress chintan shivir passed a resolution against family politics. I realised that my sons could not enter into politics. My husband had not tried to enter the son into politics. I prayed to St Mary. Things went through unexpected ways. There was a BBC documentary controversy… I prayed to St Mary that everything has gone…it was his dream to enter politics. I prayed to St Mary. My son is 39-year-old and with tears I raised his dream before St Mary. Then came a call from the PMO that he was asked to join BJP. He was told that there would be opportunities in the BJP. I prayed to Mary to show a way for his future…My disdain and disgust towards BJP gone. Mary gave me a new heart.”

She said she had sought the divine intervention of Mary to avoid “law and order issues’’ at her home after the son joined BJP.

“It was a shock for my husband. I was worried about what would happen when Anil comes home after joining the BJP. I prayed to Mary that she should handle the law-and-order situation at my home. Antony calmly accepted it and overcame that situation. Mathavu (St Mary) cooled down the minds of all. I feared a revolt at home. Everything has gone smoothly after the intervention of Mathavu,” she said.
