Abhinaya Harigovind: As IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Kharagpur, the country’s first such institution, turns 75, do you think it has been able to keep pace with changes in technology, research and industry-readiness?

IIT Kharagpur was established with a particular purpose. The whole idea was to develop a high quality technical education ecosystem with a completely indigenous approach. From then to now, there have been significant accomplishments in terms of establishing IIT as a respected brand worldwide for quality technical education. The question is, has the purpose been achieved? And number two, what is the journey ahead considering the transformational landscape in education and research?
