Serbian Visa for Indians 2024: Over the past decades, there has been a significant rise in migration to Serbia, driven by factors like educational opportunities, economic prospects, and favourable immigration policies, particularly the Residency by Investment (RBI) program.
On another note, Serbian universities are also gaining popularity among Indian students due to their affordable tuition fees and quality education, offering study programs in English that provide the same rights and credentials as those for local students.
However, last year, as of January 1, 2023, the Serbian Government ended visa-free travel for Indian citizens and imposed strict regulations to enter the country, as suggested by the EU.
Consequently, the Indian Embassy has recommended that nationals planning to travel to Serbia after January 1, 2023, obtain a visa from the Serbian Embassy in New Delhi or their country of residence.
Nevertheless, Indian citizens holding a valid Schengen, UK, or US visa can still enter Serbia without a visa for up to 90 days.
Serbian Visas for Indians in 2024: General Requirements
Enlisted below are some of the requirements to obtain a Serbian Visa in 2024:
i. Completed Visa Application Form.
ii. Valid Passport: The passport must be valid for at least 90 days after your intended departure date from the Republic of Serbia. It should have at least two consecutive blank pages and must have been issued within the past 10 years.
iii. Passport Photo: One photo (size 3.5 x 4.5 cm).
iv. Proof of Purpose of Stay: Documentation outlining the purpose and reasons for your stay in the Republic of Serbia.
v. Letter of Invitation:
- For Private Visits: An invitation letter certified by the relevant authority in the Republic of Serbia.
- For Business Visits: An invitation letter from a company in Serbia.
- For Tourist Trips: Proof of payment for the trip issued by a travel agency (voucher or another type of payment receipt).
vi. Travel Medical Insurance: Adequate and valid medical insurance for your travels.
Important Note: For the issuance of a transit visa, you must have an entry visa for the country you intend to enter after leaving the Republic of Serbia. If a visa is not required for that country, you may be asked to present other documents explaining the purpose of your visit there.
Serbian Visas for Indians in 2024: Types of Visa
