Talking about what led him to take up Bigg Boss OTT 3, Ranvir Shorey revealed that has been offered the show every year. Ranvir said, “Actually, I get a call from Bigg Boss every year, but due to some reasons, I was unable to participate. But this year my son is going to the US to spend his summer vacations and I had no major work. The second reason I think is I badly needed a detox from screens. This year everything clicked and fell into place. My family and friends understood my reasons for doing it at this moment and also that I’m old enough to own up to decisions and consequences. ”

Ranvir also shared how he plans to survive in the Bigg Boss house and if he has a personality for a show like Bigg Boss. “I am not the coolest person, I tend to lose my calm over small issues. So this is going to be a challenge for me. But I’m not going under any pressure. Also, limited food is going to be a challenge. But I’m hoping they’ll give us sufficient food that’s needed to survive. I’m sure they’re not calling us to starve. But I am going to keep telling myself, you’re just going to be here for a month or so, so chill. My strategy is to keep myself busy. Doing household chores, doing exercises, and healing my body. ”

While a lot of people have had mixed opinions over Anil Kapoor taking the baton from Salman Khan to host Bigg Boss OTT this year, Ranvir too says that he was a little disappointed on learning that Salman wouldn’t be hosting the show this year. “If Salman Sir had been hosting the show, it would have made me happier as I have worked with him in the past, and it would have been in my favour as a contestant. But Anil sir is a legend and a very charming person and brings with him a certain hugeness, so I am quite excited but also hoping that he will cut me some slack,” Ranvir said.

Every year, Bigg Boss dishes out a task that requires contestants to do something extreme. Is that something Ranvir is ready for?  When asked about the kind of sacrifices that he is ready to make in the house, he shared, “Definitely I’m not going to shave my eyebrows off or anything extreme like that but I wouldn’t mind eating chilli if it feeds everyone. So I’m willing to make sacrifices but to a certain extent.”

On a parting note, Ranvir Shorey funnily asked the audience to support him. He said, “Nobody is out there handling my social media when I’m going to be in, so I’m praying to all my fans to help to stay in there for the longest time possible.”
