What was the India’s Got Latent controversy?
On comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, Ranveer Allahbadia asked a fan whether he would rather watch his parents have sex every day for the rest of his life or join in once and stop it forever. This remark lead to widespread uproar and FIRs against the two comedians and other panelists. Ranveer even apologised for his remark, saying, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny.”
On March 3, the Supreme Court lifted ban on Ranveer’s podcast but with strict guidelines, asking him to ensure that his podcast adheres to moral and decency standards, making it suitable for audiences of all ages.
