Talking about the new entry on the show, Kapil Sharma said in a statement, “We had promised that every year our family will grow, and I’m so excited to have Sidhu paaji part of the family along with Archana ji to enjoy all the chutkules, the shayaris and masti. The mahaul is set, so stay tuned because this season jokes aur laughter dono ho gayein hain triple!!!”

Navjot Singh Sidhu’s exit from Kapil Sharma’s show

Sidhu’s exit from the show took place in 2019 after the cricketer-politician took serious heat over his comments following the Pulwama terror attack. Sony — where Kapil’s show was telecast at that time — sacked him and hired Archana Puran Singh to host the show. Ever since then, the show and its cast has jumped platforms and names but Archana has stayed on as the judge. She often takes hits from the show’s cast for earning money for ‘just laughing’ but responds with grace. The same treatment, however, was never meted out to Sidhu.

The two judges on the show will make this season an interesting mix. The new season of the Great Indian Kapil Show starts streaming from 21st June, 2025.
