Actor Amit Sial has gained lots of prominence for his performances on several OTT shows. With Maharani Season 3 being the latest one, the actor sat down for a conversation with Indianexpress.com where he shared how the OTT space changed his life. Amit also opened up about planning to quit the industry for the fourth time before Inside Edge changed things for him.

Talking about the same, he said, “OTT has changed my world around, the frequency of work before was very less, but with Inside Edge, the kind of opportunity I got was great. I was completely down and out, frustrated; it was the fourth time I wanted to quit. I put all of it into that show and became that person who clicked with the audience and I found my uniqueness in it. Today, I am earning my livelihood comfortably and living in an expensive city like Mumbai. What else do you want?”

Expressing concern over content being dished out quite quickly on OTT, Amit Sial also shared, “Fortunately I have not suffered that. There is an issue now that things are being churned out on OTT too quickly. The whole culture of OTT came about because there was a need to create fresh content. But any and every medium gets diluted and then has to be reinvented, that might happen here too.”

When asked to what extent Amit Sial felt Maharani had changed him as a person, he said, “As an actor, I am much more popular and relatable to the audiences, and I mostly contribute that to the show Maharani. All of us are shining in it, people in the industry might have taken notice of it, but I am not very aware of it yet. I haven’t had people calling me, but I feel very glad to have gotten a show like this.”
