Vijay Deverakonda’s Taxiwaala to hit screens on November 17

Vijay Deverakonda's Taxiwaala will now head to the theaters on November 17. The film release date has been shifted to avoid clash with Ravi Teja's Amar Akar Antony.

After the box office turkey NOTA, actor Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of Taxiwaala. Earlier, this Rahul Sankrityan directorial was scheduled to release on November 16. But now the film will hit screens on November 17.

Confirming the news, Deverakonda on Sunday took to Twitter and wrote, “Release date announcement – #Taxiwaala will now arrive Nov 17! Driver arriving a day late, but driver promises a fun ride to the destination!”

Produced by SKN in association with UV Creations and GA2, Taxiwaala has Priyanka Jawalkar and Malavika Nair as the females leads. The music of the film is composed by Jakes Bejoy.

According to sources, the new release date announcement has been made to avoid a box office clash with Ravi Teja’s upcoming actioner Amar Akbar Antony (AAA), which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 16. Incidentally, AAA producer Mythri Movie Makers are also backing Vijay Deverakonda’s next Dear Comrade in association with Big Ben Cinemas. Dear Comrade will be helmed by debutant director Bharat Kamma.

Dear Comrade marks the second collaboration of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda after the blockbuster Geetha Govindam. If sources are to be believed, Deverakonda will be seen as a cricketer in Dear Comrade.
