Salaar box office collection Day 12: Prabhas’ blockbuster zooms past Rajinikanth’s Jailer, earns over Rs 627 crore worldwide

The holiday period coming to an end is likely going to slow things down for Salaar, but since no big release is scheduled for this week, Salaar has the opportunity to keep adding to its collection. Sacnilk reported that the crime-actioner had the maximum occupancy in the Telugu region (20.15%), followed by Hindi (15.42%), Tamil (14.94%) and Malayalam (13.76%).

Prabhas, for whom Salaar marks a much-needed comeback following three consecutive disasters, Radhe Shyam, Saaho and Adipurush, is elated with the film’s success. He told ANI, “I am deeply grateful and humbled by the immense love and support given by the audience. Witnessing Salaar’s fantastic run at the box office has been nothing but an incredible reward for me and my entire team.”

Upon its release, Salaar received a mixed response, with few lauding the film’s storytelling and a few criticising it for its gory violence. The Indian Express’ Shubhra Gupta mentioned in her review, “Till the violence in Prabhas-Prithviraj-starrer is comic-book and ‘Games Of Thrones’-type stylised, you can find a way to rationalise it; the trouble ratchets up when it becomes more ‘real’.”
