
Actor Kartikeya, who became an overnight sensation with RX100, is now gearing up for Hippi. The Telugu film went on floors Friday with a formal pooja ceremony in Ramoji Film City.
Speaking at the movie launch, Kartikeya said, “When I was confused about selecting a good script for my next, director TN Krishna came up with Hippi. I am quite confident that the film will lead me to success again.”
Directed by TN Krishna of Nuvvu Nenu Prema fame, the movie also stars JD Chakravarthy, Brahmaji and Digangana Suryavanshi. Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu is bankrolling the project under his V Creations banner. The producer recently backed films like Kabali and Sketch.
According to an announcement from the makers, the film will be extensively shot in Sri Lanka after a brief schedule in Hyderabad.

Kartikeya’s RX 100 tasted success at the box office with its bold content. The film is being remade in Tamil with actor Aadhi Pinisetty in the lead.
