Tollywood star Rana Daggubati has got a new makeover for his upcoming period drama titled 1945, which is set in the backdrop of pre-partition India. The actor shared a selfie unveiling his new look as he has shaved off that thick beard.

“Alright the beard gone!! Moving into another period!! Working on a new look for #1945. First look will be out November!! #faceunderthebeard,” Rana captioned the picture on his Twitter page.

The shooting of the film is going on in Kochi. In 1945, Rana reportedly plays a soldier of Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army). Regina Cassandra, who played one of the female lead roles in Rana’s previous film Nene Raju Nene Mantri, will also be seen in the upcoming period drama. She apparently plays the role of a Chettiar girl. It will also have a Tamil version called Madai Thiranthu. The film, which is directed by Sathya Siva, also has a solid supporting star cast including Sathyaraj, Nasser and RJ Balaji.

Interestingly, Rana, Sathyaraj and Nasser have earlier worked together in the Baahubali franchise.

Rana is currently basking in the success of back-to-back films. He had three movies released this year and all went on to be a successful venture. Baahubali: The Conclusion went on to become India’s biggest grosser globally till date, while his solo films – The Ghazi Attack and Nene Raju Nene Mantri also did well at the box office.
