Pushpa 2 box office collection Day 24: Allu Arjun-starrer sees sharp jump, mints Rs 1141.35 crore

Interestingly, the film has seen a resurgence in its collections after facing a consistent decline over the past two days. On Thursday, Pushpa 2 experienced a 46 per cent dip, collecting Rs 10.5 crore, while Friday saw a further 16 per cent drop, with Rs 8.75 crore earned. Despite these dips, the film’s worldwide collection has now reached an astonishing Rs 1719 crore. It is poised to surpass the lifetime earnings of Baahubali 2, which stands at Rs 1788.06 crore. Once it achieves this milestone, Pushpa 2 will become the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever, trailing only Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which garnered Rs 2000 crore globally.

The success of Pushpa 2 is a testament to Allu Arjun’s star power and the widespread appeal of Sukumar’s direction. The film’s gripping narrative, coupled with stellar performances by Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, who reprise their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, respectively, has struck a chord with audiences nationwide.

However, the triumph of Pushpa 2 has not been without controversy. Allu Arjun recently made a virtual appearance at Nampally Court in connection with the ongoing stampede case. The tragic incident occurred at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during a special screening of the film, resulting in the death of a woman and leaving her son critically injured. Allu Arjun was reportedly present at the venue when the stampede unfolded.
