Baahubali The Epic box office collection Day 1 early estimates: Prabhas-starrer is on track to earn over Rs 10 crore

Recently, producer Shobu Yarlagadda talked about Baahubali The Epic and said, “We are trimming many scenes and songs from the films to make the length come under 4 hours. The Baahubali: The Epic cut will also feature some surprises that the audience are not expecting at all.”

The first film, Baahubali: The Beginning, came out in 2015, and it truly opened the gates for so many pan-India films that came after it. It made Rs 650 crore worldwide, which was something unheard of for Telugu movies until then. It made Rs 118 crore in just Hindi, and its gross collection in the country was Rs 516 crore. More than its collection, the film’s narrative left its entire audience on a cliffhanger, which meant that even more people tuned in for Baahubali: The Conclusion.

The second film in the franchise blew its predecessor out of the water and earned Rs 1788 crore worldwide. Its Hindi net collection was Rs 510 crore, and its India gross collection was Rs 1416 crore. The cliff hanger proved successful for the makers of the film, and thousands of people came in to solve the mystery of “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?”

Directed by SS Rajamouli, the cast of Baahubali The Epic includes Prabhas, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rana Daggubati, Nassar, Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty, Adivi Sesh, Rohini and Prabhakar.
