Manoj Manchu in Mirai.Telugu actor Manoj Manchu is set to make a remarkable return to the silver screen as the antagonist in Teja Sajja’s highly anticipated mythological action drama, Mirai. The actor on Monday unveiled his first look poster, introducing fans to his character, Black Sword, a formidable and feared ancient warrior.
In his tweet, Manoj expressed his excitement, stating, “I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time to present you all a new me, a.k.a. #TheBlackSword from #MIRAI.” The poster reveals the actor in a striking new avatar, featuring a powerful stance and an intense gaze that perfectly embodies the essence of his character. This transformation marks a significant shift from his previous roles.

A teaser of Mirai was also revealed which reveals Black Sword to be the most dangerous and powerful warrior in the world. He is after a power that was left behind by Indian king Ashoka, which could potentially bring the world under the control of the one who wields it. Teja Sajja plays the protagonist, who should stop Black Sword at all cost.
Mirai, directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, promises a blend of mythology and action. The film explores the mysteries of Ashoka’s nine unknown books, intertwining historical intrigue with modern cinematic storytelling. The movie, featuring Ritika Nayak as the female lead, is set to release in both 2D and 3D formats on April 18, 2025, in five languages.
