It is rare that a director is seen on the other side of the camera and much rarer to see an actor shouting “action” and giving a clap for the shot. But breaking all the norms, Megastar Chiranjeevi was seen directing a scene with director V V Vinayak in front of the camera for Khaidi No 150.
As the crew called for a wrap of the shoot, they released a video in which the director of Khaidi No 150 was seen holding a can on his shoulder. The Tagore combo is seen effortlessly switching their roles as Chiru was also seen explaining his shot to Vinayak and even congratulating him for pulling it through.
A source close to the film unit has also revealed that it’s not just in the video, but the director will also be seen on the big screen playing a cameo for the audience. The film is all set for a release in January next year.
Khaidi No 150 is Chiranjeevi’s comeback and his 150th movie. The film marks the comeback of Chiru in Tollywood after close to a decade. Under V V Vinayak’s direction, Khaidi No 150 is a remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi, which was directed by AR Murugadoss and had Vijay in the lead role. The much-awaited movie has Chiranjeevi playing the lead and he will be seen romancing Kajal Aggarwal.
The film is expected to be a big hit for the star. Apart from being his comeback, it has been shot in exotic locations of Central Europe, in Slovenia and Croatia, and the filmmakers also said to have roped in popular choreographer Lawrence who might give Chiru another signature step, like Veena step of Indra, for the audience to remember.
