As Nandamuri Balakrishna places all his bets on his much-awaited 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni, the filmmakers pushed out the trailer of the film amid a huge fan presence and pooja in Karimnagar on Friday.

With the 2.20-minute trailer, it is clear that Balayya aka Satakarni is on an A-rush as he draws his sword ruthlessly while on a horseback once the war horn has been sounded. Lacing his wit with the usual dose of power-packed rhetoric, his glaring eyes and an extended horseshoe moustache, Balakrishna somehow seems to fit in the shoes of the Satavahana warrior Gautamiputra Satakarni as his mien and voice compensated for his physique. You cannot miss the scene where he tears open his chest armour.

Talking about the sets, it seems like a mix of Troy, Narnia and 300, given the size of the army and the wars fought on wild sands, soft grass and battleships respectively.

Though there are a lot of action-heavy shots, equal space has been given to Balayya romancing Shriya Saran. We see about seven different frames of it, which seemed quite a lot for a trailer. In addition, a couple of shots were spared for the dream girl Hema Malini too.

Joining in the list of epic war films, the movie is based on the life history of a warrior of the Satavahana empire in the second century CE, Gautamiputra Satakarni. From war sequences to sets, the film is said to pack high-octane stunts and visual effects. The fandom will get a glimpse of four wars with close to 1000 Satavahana and Greek soldiers who will be battling with 300 horses and 20 chariots in scenic locations of Mount Kazbek in Georgia and in Morocco.

With all this packed in the movie, let us wait for Sankranthi and see how this film could be a game-changer for Balakrishna.
