Bigg Boss 19 grand finale: Tanya Mittal becomes 3rd runner up of Salman Khan-hosted reality show

Tanya Mittal crafted a striking narrative for herself on Bigg Boss Season 19. From day one, she projected an image of coming from great wealth. Claiming to run multiple businesses and factories, many of her statements quickly went viral. Whether it was flying to Dubai just to eat baklava, eating only London-baked cookies, or traveling from Gwalior to Agra solely for a cup of coffee, Tanya made several unbelievable claims throughout her journey on the show.

Although she was called out multiple times on the show by host Salman Khan, Tanya often contradicted her own statements during the game. Her self-assured, ‘classy’ demeanour didn’t always sit well with her fellow housemates, but as she famously said on the show, “Woh dil mein aati hai, samajh mein nahi.” Tanya’s game plan ultimately worked in her favour this season, making her one of the most talked-about contestants on Bigg Boss 19.

While Tanya Mittal’s friendship with Neelam Giri was quite genuine, her equation with Amaal Mallik was under the scanner throughout the season. While many thought that Tanya was romantically inclined towards Amaal, both Tanya and Amaal denied such claims.

During the recent press conference, Tanya Mittal was also schooled by many in the media. From her classist attitude to her derogatory remarks, Tanya was questioned over her stance in the game. She was also slammed for portraying the sari as a symbol of weakness. Throughout the season, Tanya was seen wearing saris; in fact, she had even claimed to have carried 800 saris with her on the show.

Despite the claims and controversies surrounding her on the show, Tanya Mittal managed to reach the finale on her own merit. In addition to becoming a finalist, Tanya has also secured a work offer from Ekta Kapoor and is expected to begin her acting journey after the reality show.
