Shehbaz Badesha is one of the contestants in Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan. The selection of YouTube content creator and Shehnaaz Gill’s brother, Shehbaz Badesha, for the game happened through audience voting, where he competed against fellow content creator Mridul Tiwari. While Shehbaz received strong support from several ex-Bigg Boss contestants and winners, his sister Shehnaaz also urged fans to back him on the Salman Khan-hosted show.

Ahead of entering the Bigg Boss 19 house, Shehbaz Badesha spoke to SCREEN and called it a ‘dream come true’. Appearing confident, he stated that his sole focus would be on playing the game and that he wouldn’t worry too much about others.

Sharing what the audience can expect from him on Bigg Boss 19, Shebaz Badesha said, “I am excited for myself and nervous about other people. I feel once I go inside, I will give tough competition to others, and they will not like that. People can expect a lot of entertainment from me. I am very smart, which is why I am going on the show. Anyone who tries to act smart with me will have it. I am just looking forward to getting in and eliminating all others.”

Shehbaz added that this was the first time he was offered Bigg Boss, and he didn’t even discuss the offer with his sister Shehnaaz Gill, and straightaway said yes. “I didn’t discuss this opportunity with Shehnaaz. I just said yes. Later, when she got to know that I was going, she just told me to be real. I was never offered the show before this; had it been offered, I would have done it by now.”

The Bigg Boss 19 contestant also recalled his audition with the makers and said, “My audition for the show was very good. Everyone laughed a lot, they were all happy. Auditioning for this felt like a dream come true. I am a very cute and positive person. I don’t care about the other contestants. All I know is I am a man of my word.”

Shehbaz Badesha on Bigg Boss 13 and Sidharth Shukla

This isn’t the first time Shehbaz Badesha has been on Bigg Boss. He previously appeared during the family week of Bigg Boss 13, where he spent a week in the house. When asked if that experience would come in handy this time, Shehbaz said, “My previous experience of Bigg Boss 13 will not come in handy at all because that time I had gone inside as a family member when Shehnaaz was there. So I had some support inside. This time, I am going in as a contestant, and I will be my support. Bigg Boss 13 had a huge hype. As of now, I cannot compare that season with this one. It all depends on the contestants. I will make sure that I do something good for myself on the show.”

Shehbaz also remembered the late Sidharth Shukla and said, “I was very inspired by Shehnaaz and Sidharth Shukla’s game. I also loved the Gautam Gulati season. I liked everything about Sidharth, but he was a different personality, and I am different. If I carry some trait from him, I might look fake, which I don’t want. I will just play my game.”

Who is Shehbaaz Badesha?

While his approach to the Salman Khan-hosted show is clear, Shehbaz stated that he plans to focus solely on himself and will not tolerate any form of disrespect.
