Romit Raaj bids adieu to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: ‘I knew it was going to be a short journey’

Actor Romit Raaj, who currently plays Rohit Poddar in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is set to bid farewell to the show. His much-loved character will be killed off in an upcoming episode, adding an unexpected twist to Rajan Shahi’s long-running serial.

In a recent interview, Romit confirmed his exit from the show, saying he was aware about the fate of his character Rohit. He told Zoom, “My Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s journey has been closest to my heart. I loved each scene so much. Every dialogue was spoken from the heart. I knew it was going to be a short journey, and I cherished every moment. I am eternally grateful to Rajan Sir for such an amazing opportunity to entertain my fans and well-wishers. Big thank you to YRKKH fans for loving me so much and making this journey so special. I am looking forward to new beginnings.”

Romit Raaj has already wrapped up filming his final episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and is now looking forward to exploring new opportunities in the television industry.

For the unversed, Romit had replaced Shivam Khajuria in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The show features Rohit Purohit, Samridhii Shukla, Garvita Sadhwani, Shruti Ulfat, and Anita Raaj in key roles. It is produced by Rajan Shahi under his banner Directors Kut Productions.
